It's midnight post again. With Gavin Rossdale on my playlist, still trying to figure out how may I sketch the layout of this post. I pretty much used up on the ideas and now I was left without words worth reading *is it?*.
Talking about Harimau Muda could be relevant right now since they just won the final match against Indonesia in the 26th SEA GAMES 2011 held in Bung Karno Stadium last night. It was a match to be remembered alright.
After all that was said and done, the young tigers managed to be on top with penalty shootout, 4-3. It was inevitable. The match was tied 1-1 even after the extra time. To tell the truth, I truly hate penalty kicks. The one-on-one battle gets me nervous every time, as if I was the one on the field.
Just a little recap on the game. The boys were shocked by an early goal at the 5th minute by Indonesia (Gunawan). But after several shots without success, the awaited goal for Malaysia (Asraruddin) came along at 35th minute. Both teams have work hard to add goals during the second half of the game but to no avail, dragging the match into extra time.
Baddrol Bakhtiar was the team's hero after completing the penalty shoot despite the ball was deflected first on the keeper, but still rolling into the goal! I bet every one watching the game held their breath at the time. It was a dramatic and sweet ending for Harimau Muda! *I am so proud of them... ^_^*
They've gained valuable experience from the games. And undoubtedly, they've got the recognition that they deserved. Hopefully they will become better players after each game they participate and continue to make us proud.
P/s:
The Harimau Muda boys will be playing against Syria for Olympic 2012 Asian Qualifiers on Wednesday, 8.45 PM at Bukit Jalil National Stadium.
